Worker is a tool for utilities maintenance. It combines a web app and a mobile app. The web app provides content for the mobile app used by operators on the field.
The goal of the Worker web app is to create and manage smart documentation, to assign it to specific utilities and to share it with operators.
One of the big challenges I faced as UX designer was to define the scope of the app. Potential clients have very different usage of their documentation, so I knew I had to spend a lot of time on that matter before starting anything.
First I worked with the CEO and the CCO to figure out the goal, scope and constraints of the app. We analyzed the needs of each potential client, all very different. It helped me define the main sections of the app and the idea of file management for documentation, utility and users.
After that I worked closely with the developers. I designed one section at a time, in order for them to start coding as soon as possible.
During this process, we received some user feedback, allowing me to iterate and improve the design.
